Ascender Games newest title, Death's Dream Kingdom. A dark fantasy action game set in a mysterious, cursed world known as the Viathan Kingdom. It blends psychological horror, demon-hunting, and supernatural adventure elements.
The Results
- I wanted to set a tone with the red-black theme, gritty textures, and eerie character art so you know what you're getting into.
- The scrolling experience should feel like a narrative progression—like reading chapters. Each section will exist on the screen one at a time, not hindered by the section before or after.
- Adding special abilities for each character, as well as the in-game screens, helps convey the gameplay mechanics but also how this game a mix of battle royale and one-one-one combat.
